Aceve is developing rapidly and is working hard to conquer the European market of SaaS solutions for tradespeople. To accomplish our ambitious plans, we need to continue building the best people team for the best team of people. The role as People Operations Specialist plays a crucial part in this journey!
As People Operations Specialist in Lisbon, you will be our first HR employee who, together with our global People department, will play a vital role in building and scaling our Portuguese entity. You will drive people-related efforts towards achieving our long-term business plans and ambitions. Aceve is located throughout the Nordics, UK and Germany. You will be part of an International People Operations team and your mission is to support the Portuguese entity. You will work closely with business leaders and managers to support in various people topics.
What will you do?
- Acting as a sounding board and advisor for line managers and business leaders in people related questions such as labour law, work environment
- Provide professional HR support to managers and employees, responding to queries on employment matters, policies, and procedures
- Manage employee lifecycle events – from preparing employment contracts and onboarding documentation to supporting off-boarding processes
- Coordinate and support the payroll process in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external payroll providers
- Administer and maintain employee records to ensure accuracy and compliance with Portuguese labor law
- Support performance management processes (e.g. performance reviews, goal-setting, probation follow-up), in line with global People strategies
- Collaborate with the wider People team on processes such as onboarding, employee engagement, compensation reviews, and policy development
- Contribute to HR projects and initiatives that promote a high-performing, engaged, and inclusive culture
- Support local onboarding together with our Talent Acquisition team
- Promote and nurture a people-first mindset across the business acting as a cultural ambassador
Qualifications & Skills:
- 3-5 years of experience working as a HR Generalist or equivalent
- Proven track record in execution of people strategies and processes such as People Analytics, Comp & Ben, Performance Development, Onboarding in a high paced environment
- Experience from working in a data driven environment where good excel skills is of high value.
- Strong knowledge of Portuguese labour law
- A prestige-less mindset and enjoy working in an environment where you are given a lot of responsibility
- Independent and get stuff done quickly and accurately
- Fluency in English, both written and verbally
- You have a bachelor’s degree in HR, business or similar field
